motivation
What is your motivation? Motivation is your desire to do something in your life, either personally or professionally; by enabling you to reach a goal that you currently aspire to or think is unobtainable. The easiest way to start is to change your habits, or mind set; simple right? Well, wrong actually. As you may know, your brain is hard wired to keep doing what it knows best. Change can be hard, but it doesn’t have to be. Below are a few straightforward tips:
When the sun is out, take 15 minutes to just sit with a coffee and enjoy the warm rays on your skin, (wear your SPF50!) either with friends or alone, it will get you out the house and give you time to clear your head and work things through.
I find that listening/singing along to music is very up-lifting.
Keep goals small and manageable.... if you can’t get to see the people you care for face to face; can you Zoom orFaceTime them?
You can’t, yet, run 5k but you can start running with a beginners app or a local running club. They’re very supportive and encouraging.
In the mornings, listen to a couple of your favourite songs, reading a few motivational quotes, or just journal your feelings and write a to-do list, then start completing it!
Keep the company of positive people as much as possible.
Finally, make an appointment to have some hypnosis with me to see how I can help you.
These little hacks will keep you focussed, and make sure you celebrate the small wins. From having a frank and open discussion of what you want to change, I will have all the details I need to help you. Please note: Hypnosis is subjective, and every person has their own experience. Some clients need more sessions than others, the average length of therapy is 2-8 sessions.
WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?
CAN IT HELP?
The word hypnosis derives from the Greek word for “sleep”.
In clinical hypnosis, the patient is in an altered state of consciousness between sleep and wakefulness. When we use certain stimuli, mental processes are activated, and I can then treat various psychological disorders.
I will bring you, the patient, into a hypnotic or trance-like state. Using various words and associations of ideas that will change your thought patterns or behaviors. Your open mind and positive attitude will play a key role in the success of your therapy - you must have the desire to participate and be fully guided during the sessions.
Having described the process of hypnosis and reviewing your treatment goals. I will typically talk in a gentle, soothing tone and describe images that create a sense of relaxation, security, and well-being.
When you are in a receptive state, I will suggest ways for you to achieve your goals, helping you visualize vivid, meaningful mental images of yourself accomplishing your goals.
When the session is over, I will help you end your state of relaxation.
